The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is seeking an Accounts Clerk II Temporary Full Time, 10-month (possible extension) Reporting to the Supervisor of Assessment & Taxation or their designate, the successful applicant must or be willing to possess the following:
- High School Graduation Certificate
- Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an accounting or payroll position or Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate with the National Payroll Institute
- Knowledge of payroll and labour regulations & legislation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software programs particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
- Class 05 Driver’s License and satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Clear RCMP Criminal Record Check and Provincial Court Check are conditions of employment.
Salary and benefits are based on a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, per CUPE Local 2019 collective agreement with the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay as applicable for temporary employment. The current rate of pay is $33.12
