1. Recycling and Composting Bins

• Through our partnership with the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB), recycling and composting bins are readily available for pick up and purchase at the Green Depot. By utilizing these bins, you can significantly decrease the amount of waste destined for the landfill.

2. HVGB Recyclers: A Local Force for Change

• The HVGB Recyclers, a grassroots non-profit group, play a pivotal role in diverting waste from our landfill. They’re now located in the former CFB Arena on the Canadian Side, and you can learn more about their efforts on their Facebook Page 

3. Rodger’s Recycling

• For your convenience, Rodger’s Recycling at 15 Churchill St. (Phone: 709-896-5041) offers recycling services and accepts various recyclable items. To learn more about what items are accepted, please visit the MMSB website.

4. Backyard Composting Webinars

• Interested in learning the art of backyard composting and maintaining a healthy compost bin? The MMSB offers informative webinars.

5. Newco Metal & Auto Recycling
