Town of Happy Valley Goose Bay
Pet Supplies and Adopting Pets
Happy Valley-Goose Bay offers convenient access to pet supplies, ensuring your furry friends are well-cared for. You can find pet supplies at local grocery stores, Valley Veterinary Clinic, and PAWS Pet Boutique.
Adopting a Pet
If you’re considering expanding your family with a furry companion, we encourage you to connect with the local SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). The SPCA is dedicated to finding loving homes for animals in need. If adopting isn’t an option for you, you can still make a difference by volunteering your time and sharing affection with animals awaiting their forever homes.
Wildlife Encounters
In our picturesque region, wildlife encounters are not uncommon. While traveling between Happy Valley-Goose Bay and North West River or even in your own backyard, you might spot moose, foxes, rabbits, bears, wolves, and more. It’s essential to exercise caution and refrain from feeding these animals. Though they may appear friendly, they can be unpredictable.
Dog Park
In 2015, the Town introduced a community Dog Park located at 25 Cherrywood Drive. This park is designed with separate sections for small/shy dogs and large/social dogs. To preserve the quality of this public space, please adhere to the rules posted on-site and ensure its continued enjoyment for all.
Your furry friends are part of our community too, and we’re committed to making Happy Valley-Goose Bay a pet-friendly place.
Note: Remember to respect and care for our local wildlife while enjoying your time in our beautiful surroundings.
