Employment Opportunity – LABOURER – Public Works Department
(Temporary, Full-Time)
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay seeks to employ Labourer (Temporary, Full-Time – 19 Weeks, Possible Extension) with the Town’s Public Works Department reporting to the Superintendent of Public Works and/or designate This person is responsible for completing all labour related tasks as required and shall carry out such other job related duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Superintendent or the Foreman.
As the successful applicant, you must possess the following:
- High School graduation certificate
- Hold a minimum Class 5 Drivers License
- Have good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work with others to perform required tasks and responsibilities
- Applicant to provide a current Certificate of Conduct and satisfactory Drivers Abstract
Salary for this position is based on 40 hours per week as per the CUPE Local 2019 collective agreement with the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in which the hourly pay rate is $30.08.
