Motorists to use caution when approaching pedestrians

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay would like to remind motorists to use caution when approaching or passing pedestrians running, jogging and walking on the public roadways.

Drivers of vehicles with extended mirrors should consider giving pedestrians extra space, as those mirrors can be very hazardous, as they are often right at head level, and drivers may not be aware of just how close they may be getting to a pedestrian.

Road users are encouraged to obey applicable traffic signs and exercise caution while driving for their own safety and the safety of other road users.
