NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

FOR PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE TOWN OF HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY

MUNICIPAL PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS (2018 -2028)

MUNICIPAL AMENDMENT No. 6, 2025

DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT No. 8, 2025

The Town Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay has adopted Municipal Plan Amendment No. 6, 2025 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 8, 2025.

A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Plan and Development Regulations will be held on the August 26, 2026 at the Town Hall in the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay at 7 p.m.

In general terms, the purpose of these amendments is to add a definition for ‘Golf Course’ use and to allow such use as a discretionary use in the Open Space, Parks and Trail zone.

Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation not fewer than 2 days before the date set for the public hearing.
