Jill Williams
Councillor
Jill was born and raised in North West River and has proudly called Happy Valley–Goose Bay home for the past 15 years. A registered social worker, she has built her career in child welfare, mental health, and addictions, and currently works as an instructor. Jill holds a Master of Social Work and is pursuing her PhD.
Deeply committed to her community, Jill volunteers her time in a number of local programs. She is the Program Coordinator and Head Coach of the Howling Huskies, Goose Bay’s Special Olympics team, the captain and organizer of the Mother Puckers adult women’s hockey league, and the Snowshoe Coordinator for the Labrador Winter Games.
Outside of work and volunteering, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband and teenagers, especially at the cabin or out on the land by skidoo or boat. She’s proud to call Labrador home and is passionate about helping build a strong, connected community.
