EMERGENCY ROAD REPAIRS

LANDFILL ACCESS ROAD

The Landfill access road will be closed as of 10:30 AM today to facilitate emergency drainage repairs.

Heavy equipment and crews will be working to excavate and repair damaged drainage culverts.

Road closed signage and detour signage will be in place for the duration of the repairs. Access to the landfill can be made from the forestry access road or South Branch Road off Route 520 at the Blind Hill location.

Residents are asked to exercise caution using the detour route as this road is narrow in places and willows are not cut back in many places.     The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
