The Town of Labrador City offers token of appreciation to the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay

On Saturday, February 15th, Deputy Mayor Mitchell Marsh on behalf of the Town of Labrador City presented Mayor George Andrews and Deputy Mayor Ella Wallace a token of appreciation to the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay residents in recognition and appreciation for the support shown during the wildfire evacuation this past summer.

Residents of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and surrounding areas went above and beyond to provide accommodations, prepare food, plan activities and offer friendship and support to the residents displaced by the wildfire.

Mayor George Andrews said “I wouldn’t expect anything less from our Town, we always step up when it comes to helping others”.
