Born in Goose Bay and raised in Happy Valley, I am a lifelong resident and simply can’t imagine living anywhere else. This is where my roots are, my parents are from here and my children were born in the very same hospital that I was. Three generations of my family attended the same school. How many people are lucky enough to be able to say that?
After finishing school I began work in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, focusing on a life of client services. From retail to banking and now a rewarding career with my indigenous government I am happiest when serving others.
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors and most weekends can be found walking the boardwalk with my husband or out biking or running.
I have volunteered locally with service organizations and boards but have always had an interest in governance and now I’m very proud to have been elected as a Municipal Councillor in the October 2021 General Election. I look forward to serving my community and strive to be helpful, approachable and respectful.
