The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Keats as the Community Coordinator of Happy Valley-Goose Bay for the 2026 Labrador Winter Games. Andrea was introduced to the Labrador Winter Games as a teen when she was recruited by her father to be a volunteer with badminton and has been involved in various capacities in many Games since then. In 2016, Andrea was the Assistant Director of the Games which provided her the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the hard work and dedication required by everyone involved to ensure the Games are a success. In 2019 and 2023, Andrea was involved in a volunteer capacity as a VIP Hostess and with the facilities and equipment team.

Born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, where she is now raising her own family, Andrea is connected to our community through her work, volunteering, and participating in community initiatives. She is a dynamic and experienced leader with over 15 years in community development, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Andrea brings a positive attitude, understanding of Labrador and its people, and excitement to take on this role, which will create a positive experience for our Happy Valley-Goose Bay team for the 2026 Labrador Winter Games.
